A Foundation for Success
Why PRE-KINDERGARTEN At St. Mark's
Experience The Difference
Our Pre-K Teachers are certified and evolve the curriculum with current research. We have chosen a curriculum for each of the four content areas, reading, mathematics, science, and social studies based on student need and teacher recommendations. As a result, we do not offer a one size fits all program like other Florida VPK programs. We have found that our students grow and flourish with a wide range of materials and opportunities supported by a more individualized approach to learning.
Play Based Learning
The pre-kindergarten program at St. Mark’s Episcopal Academy is faith-based, child-centered, and focused on teaching fundamental life skills that teach children to be successful students. Our play-based learning program allows our teachers to view each student as an individual, in order to provide a learning system designed to meet each child’s specific social/emotional, academic, and developmental needs.
Social & Emotional
Our school meets its students where they are socially and emotionally, with kindness and love, which helps them grow into their best potential and prepares them for the next step in their education. Each of our highly qualified teachers have degrees in Elementary/Primary Education and over 20 years of teaching experience. They understand the importance of establishing a foundation of social and emotional skills early on, so that our students are ready to learn and succeed in school and in life.
Spiritual Growth
St. Mark's delivers a well rounded VPK education. Our Pre-K students attend chapel once per week. The VPK program at St. Mark's helps develop and prepare their brains for academic success and lays a beautiful foundation for a life-long love of learning -- nature, art, music, faith, PE, and play.
